First time home buyer in Chicago. We’re putting 20% down on a condo in the city and are going to place an offer on a place we like. To get a sense of how much cash we’ll need to bring to closing, I had our lender send us a transaction summary prior to being under contract. Currently getting more quotes from another broker (should be sending us options tonight), but wanted to know if this is an okay benchmark or if we’re getting bad rates/fees:
Some other details: rate is 4.5%, no points, and the price of the condo is ~$185k, so we’re financing ~$148k.
Any help is appreciated since all of these numbers are just so overwhelming.
